In 1971, Herman Miller introduced the loose cushion armchairs (EC178 Side/Pull-up Chair) to the office environment. This product was offered only to businesses as a desk, lobby, or conference room chair. Dark tone shell upholstered in original Girard hopsak. Product features adjustable seat height of 17" at its lowest and 19" at its highest, with tilt-swivel, and polished aluminum Eames Universal base, on EB casters. Dated November 1st, 1973.
